Low Code and No Code Platforms are an emerging segment in enterprise software development. Research suggests that it will be a $45B global market in less than 4 years. Microsoft’s low code and no code platform is known in the market as Power Platform, which consists of four key products (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents). The low-code development platform offers a coding environment that is used to build applications via graphical user interfaces and configuration instead of conventional hand-coded computer programming. Customers are able to use the drag and drop features to create applications and become citizen developers in their internal teams thereby streamlining business operations. My project with Avanade seeks to leverage these power platform products to build solutions that differentiate Microsoft from competitors in the enterprise market. I seek to answer questions like; what key activities and industries can we execute on to ensure our clients are reaping the most value from the platform? What is the next business domain within each of Avanade’s core industry focus areas that will benefit from low code solutions? And what adjustments will Avanade need to make to capture that market at scale.
