Lippert Components - Blockchain
Student: Chuck Rioux, 2019-2020
Sponsor: Lippert Components, Elkhart, IN
Lippert Components is looking to streamline the way service history data is shared within the recreational vehicle industry. The lack of communication between service technicians, dealers, original equipment manufacturers, and suppliers leads to service delays which negatively impacts customer experience. Lippert believes blockchain technology could be used to integrate service records across the different parties mentioned above. They also understand that other emerging technologies may be better suited for this problem and would like to identify these potential solutions. The project will require a lot of research and deep dive into blockchain in order to establish its application to this specific problem. Understanding where the disconnect within the service history lies will be a critical component for the success of this project. It is necessary to identify the pain points encountered by technicians, dealers, suppliers, and consumers during the service process in order to develop an effective solution.
