eHealth systems for physical therapy, medication, and nutrition adherence engage users in healthy behaviors through goal setting, tracking progression, informing positive/negative effects of adherence, and providing a median for social support. All of these systems function by receiving information from the user and correspondingly providing feedback to engage the user. Middle- and older-age population are the largest customer segment for these eHealth systems. The majority of this segment needs all three of the eHealth pillars to some extent. My project connects these eHealth systems through location-based triggers using a RFID reader module for Google’s Project Ara. The overall objective is to communicate information efficiently to increase user engagement.
