Drug delivery via affinity homing

This technology is a combination of a coating and a pro-drug that have an affinity binding. The coating can be applied to an internal or percutaneous medical device so that when the pro-drug is administered, it is only metabolized at the site of the device. Additionally, the technology has the potential to be administered in an injectable form. The current market applications we are exploring are reducing the use of orally administered opioid painkillers, via targeted site delivery of alternative pain medications.
