Determining Marketable Solutions from Automated allergy & asthma friendly® Certification Testing Databases

For a product to be deemed “asthma & allergy friendly,” it must meet the standards of the asthma & allergy friendly® Certification Program, developed by top medical experts, and carried out by Allergy Standards Limited (ASL). To date, Allergy Standards Limited has amassed a large amount of data from running these certification tests, but test results have been stored in flat PDF files. This thesis project will evaluate the market need for a predictive modeling system to determine a product’s likelihood of passing certification, as well as other potential solutions or products arising from the automation of test type, certification standards per product type, and test results across multiple databases.
