Currently, 30% of all people with cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) treatment devices are receiving little to no therapeutic benefit. The reason for this has to do with abnormal heart patterns. Dr. Clyne has developed a method to detect these sounds and wants to create a noninvasive strategy to act as a litmus test to predict if a patient is suitable for a CRT device.
