Circular Economy

In order to promote sustainable business practices, provide products and services to new markets, and expand options for existing customers, Whirlpool is seeking a way to implement circular business models for some of its major appliances. By extending the lifespan of appliances currently being used and creating new channels for continued use of appliances, Whirlpool can reduce waste and make products available to more homes, charities, and businesses. This project will analyze which markets currently provide opportunities for implementing circular business models, explore markets that may be available for future expansion, compare varying possible circular models, and provide a financial analysis. This project will support Whirlpool’s commitment to care and innovation that have been its cornerstones since 1911.
