Class of 2019-2020

Northeastern University, 2019
Mechanical Engineering

Why I chose ESTEEM:

I have always been extremely passionate about engineering and wanted to make a positive impact with my work. The ESTEEM program was the perfect opportunity to continue building on my technical background while providing me with the necessary skills to go out and make my ideas come to life.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:

For my capstone project, I will be working with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) to determine the feasibility of a drone-based artificial intelligence high-rise building exterior inspection and forensic analysis program. I have previous experience working on autonomous vehicles for surface inspections as a mechanical engineer, and I am very excited to get to dive into the business development and program creation side of the operation.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

After ESTEEM I hope to be able to use the entrepreneurship and business skills that I will learn to take my engineering background to the next level to help find solutions to problems that matter. I have always been very passionate about the aerospace industry and would like to take the unique skillset I will have from my combination of a technical and entrepreneurial background to help further space exploration.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

I am an avid swimmer and enjoy playing water polo. You can probably find me watching an unhealthy number of space documentaries or researching the latest and greatest space exploration programs.

And, finally:

I decided that I wanted to be an engineer when I was about 5 years old and saw a re-run of Star Trek TOS playing on TV. My portfolio can be found here.
