Why did you choose ESTEEM?
I chose the ESTEEM program because it emphasizes innovation and entrepreneurship, preparing students to launch startups or drive innovation and product development within established companies. I am deeply interested in leveraging technology and entrepreneurship to build the capacity of young people in Uganda to develop tech and innovative startups.
The passion for technology and innovation pushed me to establish a technology and innovation hub in Uganda called Empower Youth in Technology (EYIT), website: https://eyit.org/. Therefore, ESTEEM fully aligns well with my career goals and entrepreneurial aspirations
What is your capstone project?
Sapulpa Public Schools serves almost 3,800 students from Prekindergarten to 12th grade. Its mission is to provide a premier education to ensure that every student achieves success in a global society.
Through working with community and industry partners, Sapulpa Public Schools seeks to develop an innovative Educational Pathways program for its students. The capstone project aims to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the learning guides and curriculum for teachers and make connections with potential community and industry partners who can work with Sapulpa Public Schools.
At the end of the capstone project, Sapulpa Public Schools will have a comprehensive innovation and entrepreneurship program with curriculum built with community and industry input.
What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?
After ESTEEM, I hope to actively remain engaged in nurturing and supporting young people in Uganda to build tech and innovative startups. My aspiration is to bridge the funding gap for young African entrepreneurs.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I like playing and watching football.
