Why I chose ESTEEM:

I came to ESTEEM to venture outside the comfort of my technical skills and actually apply those skills to solve problems that matter. The professional and personal growth that the program focuses on cultivates a unique community I am grateful to be a part of.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:

For my capstone I will be working with ProstheTech, a startup that is creating affordable myoelectric prosthetic hands for amputees that can be used within a matter of minutes. I will be doing a deep dive into the commercialization of the product, creating a manufacturing option analysis and also developing a strategy to bring the product to market. This project is my opportunity to immerse myself in the world of biomedical engineering and to learn the technology and business within the healthcare field.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

My plan is to take what I’ve learned at ESTEEM and develop technologies that focus on sustainability principles. My dream career would involve traveling around the world to learn about and implement different strategies to deter further long term damage to our global ecosystem.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

When I am not working I listen to podcasts and enjoy learning about new subjects like graphic and video design.
