Capstone Project Abstract

Megan MacFarlane is working with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to develop and design a minimum viable product (MVP) for the Skill Savings Account (SSA), an initiative under Talent Finance™. The SSA is a tax-advantaged account designed to help employers and workers contribute to an account that can be used to finance education, training, and other career development opportunities while helping employers build a more skilled and resilient workforce. The project focuses on identifying benefit providers and technology partners, developing an adaptable roadmap for partner integration, and mapping the SSA value stream to develop a sustainable revenue model.

Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I chose ESTEEM to develop technical and business skills while exploring career options. I want to learn how to apply classroom concepts to real-world challenges and combine my interest in business, innovation, and sustainability to create meaningful impact.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

After ESTEEM, I hope to work in the corporate business world in a role focused on strategy and designing practical solutions to complex challenges. I want to combine business with meaningful purpose-driven work.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy staying active, spending time with friends and family, and traveling around the world.
