Why I chose ESTEEM:

I chose ESTEEM because it is the perfect combination of science and business. In undergrad, these areas were relatively isolated from each other and I struggled to find a way to bring them together. ESTEEM unites both of these passions, while also providing a very strong sense of community.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:

I am working with the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, which are at the center of Northwell Health (New York). My project centers around developing commercialization opportunities for industry-sponsored oncology clinical trials. This will include doing a deep-dive of the industry, as well as market research, profit/loss analysis, and customer interviews. I'm excited about this project because I've always been very passionate about the healthcare industry and know that the work that I'm doing could have lasting impact. I'm also looking forward to working in a brand-new environment with a completely different group of people than I ever have before!

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

Honestly, this is a great question that I don't have the answer to yet! One of the main reasons that I chose ESTEEM is because you are exposed to so many different career paths and encouraged to explore areas that are new to you. I’m very open to locations and industries, but I know that I for sure want to work in a position where I’m combining my STEM and business backgrounds in an innovative setting.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

When I’m not working, I’m typically hanging out with my friends, listening to Lil Wayne, playing iPhone games, or going for runs-that-are-mostly-walks.
