Why I chose ESTEEM: I was drawn to ESTEEM when I first heard about it during my junior year due to the numerous opportunities the program provides to its students as well as the capstone thesis project.  Additionally, I have a passion for medical innovation, and I wanted to leverage my technical background by learning more about business and entrepreneurship.

My capstone thesis project and why I’m excited about it: This year I will be working with a Notre Dame professor to commercialize a 3D printed otoscopic cone attachment to improve animal ear canal examinations.  I am very excited about this project and to learn about the commercialization of medical devices, as well as the opportunity enhance the encounter between an animal and veterinarian.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM: I want to become a life science or pharmaceutical consultant as I have a strong passion for medical innovation.

What I like to do when I’m not working in Innovation Park: Outside of the classroom I enjoy running, hanging out with friends, and eating ice cream.  I also enjoy exploring the South Bend area as well as Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s campuses.
