Capstone Project Abstract

This project addresses the critical shortage of reading materials in low-fee private schools across Africa and Latin America. Working within the communities affected by limited access to age-appropriate reading materials , the project focuses on developing an offline-accessible e-library that can be integrated directly into the existing educational platforms of Edify, an international non-profit supporting local school leaders.

To ensure long-term adoption and impact, the initiative focuses on three
deliverables: curating an open-source e-library filled with books for early-readers that are age-appropriate and culturally relevant, organizing the content across localized digital platforms, and creating simple guides for teachers and parents. Together, these efforts can establish a practical framework to build daily reading habits and improve early literacy for children in low-resource environments.

Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I chose to come to ESTEEM to learn how to apply what I learned in my engineering background to the world of entrepreneurship. I knew there was no better place to do this than at Notre Dame as they provide a unique professional and personal learning experience.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

After ESTEEM, I hope to find a role that allows me to exercise my passion for problem solving and business strategy while also staying connected to the sports industry. My ultimate goal however, is to be a powerful force of good and knowledge in whatever my next steps in life may be.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I like to watch movies, watch sports, exercise, and play golf with my classmates.
