Why I chose ESTEEM:
I chose to come to ESTEEM because I felt like it would be a great opportunity to cultivate essential skills to use in the business sector. So far, ESTEEM has granted me a new lens in which to view the world: through the seemingly endless possibilities of the skill of entrepreneurship and its use in the development of people and products. I feel like I am able to utilize my variety of backgrounds.
My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:
Vital View uses research done by Notre Dame faculty and applies it to usable healthcare products. This project focuses on a noninvasive, remote fluid monitoring device that will provide a well of data to preemptively discover signs of chronic heart failure, kidney disease, and diabetes.
What I hope to do after ESTEEM:
I hope to find a business that is the intersection of my expertise, but if I cannot find one, I would be empowered with the entrepreneurial skills to start one.
What I like to do when I'm not working:
I have been making ice cream since the beginning of 2019. Since then, I have made dozens of gallons of ice cream over about a dozen flavors. One of my favorite flavors to make is called CT Crunch Remix. It is a Vanilla Cinnamon Toast Crunch base with graham cracker and cream cheese frosting swirls. The base is a classic vanilla except I steep the milk I use in toasted cinnamon toast crunch. 10-year-olds love it. I love everything about it from brainstorming flavors to delivering my product.
