Why I chose ESTEEM:

After spending 2 years working in the Bio-pharmaceutical industry in Ireland, I was ready to utilize my professional and technical knowledge in a more applied and entrepreneurial setting. ESTEEM provides me with the opportunity to learn the skills needed to start up while still earning my Master's Degree.

My capstone thesis project and why I'm excited about it:

I am doing my thesis project with Amicus Therapeutics, exploring the gene therapy market and it's potential applications for rare genetic diseases such as Lysosomal Storage Disorders. I am excited to work with Amicus Therapeutics to develop potential cures for patients with these conditions.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

My long term goal is to start a Bio-pharmaceutical Company, but in the short term I hope to further my professional development by working in consulting or returning to the Bio-pharmaceutical industry.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

I am a lover of all sports but Hurling, Golf and Soccer are my personal favorites. I also enjoy reading and working on my start-up ideas in my spare time.

And finally:

I am currently working as an Intern at the IDEA Center and I have a core position on the Lung Cancer Research Like a Champion Team.
