Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I see ESTEEM as a unique opportunity to advance my commercialization and business skills while staying deeply engaged in my technical field. What is your capstone project?

The student is working with Johnson Controls on a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for a pioneering global product in sustainable cooling and heating, using mechanical vapor recompression technology. Throughout the year, the student will be conducting in-depth customer and industry leader interviews, identifying high-level product requirements, executing thorough competitor analysis, performing detailed financial assessments, and consistently managing project specifics to ensure successful market placement worldwide. This project is pushing the boundaries of sustainable technology and the student has the opportunity to work with a company that is at the forefront of innovation in this field. This project provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on sustainability goals while gaining invaluable experience in product strategy and commercialization.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

I really want to stay rooted within the engineering sector but envision my future on the business end. My overall, and long-term goal is to be leading global products that tackle some of the world’s biggest problems such as energy, healthcare and education.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Outside of engineering and business, I really love sports. I particularly enjoy Gaelic football, soccer, and I also enjoy going to the gym. Additionally, I consider myself a big 'foodie'—I love exploring new food and trying out different restaurants. Whether it's sampling street food or dining at a more ‘high-end’ restaurant, I really think nice food is the most enjoyable thing in the world!
