Why did you choose ESTEEM?

A good engineer is not just a problem solver, but also someone who understands stakeholders, derisks ideas, and collaborates well with other people within a business. ESTEEM is the place to be to learn these skills, and to become a strong, well rounded engineer.

What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?

Clean Air Engineering - Maritime is at the forefront of environmental technology for the shipping industry, developing and operating systems that remove diesel emissions from ocean-going vessels while at berth or anchor. Their first generation marine exhaust treatment system is the first California Air Resources Board-approved alternative to "plugging in" to shore-side power, and captures and treats more than 90% of diesel pollutants emitted.

CAE-M is evaluating potential carbon capture technologies to integrate across their exhaust treatment system portfolio of newly built and existing systems. The student is responsible for taking the lead on discovering and evaluating the technological, financial, and market readiness of carbon capture technologies for integration across CAE-M’s platforms.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

Since I was a kid, I've loved all things transportation. My dream is to work in the automotive industry, specifically electrifying the heavy truck and bus sectors.

What do you like to do in your free time?

When not working, I'm probably traveling, cooking, reading about electric vehicles, or fixing things around the house.
