Capstone Project Abstract
Kelso Industries is a rapidly growing organization with operating companies across the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation sectors. As the company continues to expand, differences in processes, technologies, and levels of digital adoption across its businesses create an opportunity to better understand how artificial intelligence can support and improve field operations. This capstone project will assess where artificial intelligence can create meaningful operational impact for Kelso’s field teams. Through primary research with employees and key stakeholders, the project will examine current workflows, operational challenges, technology adoption patterns, and barriers to implementation across the organization. The project will identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases, evaluate opportunities to improve productivity and decision-making, and develop practical recommendations for adoption across Kelso’s operating companies. The goal is to provide Kelso with a structured framework for AI investment and implementation decisions and support a scalable approach to digital transformation.
