Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I chose to come to ESTEEM to learn the fundamentals of business and entrepreneurship as well as enhance my interpersonal skills. I wanted the opportunity to explore more career options outside of the scientific and technical fields. I also desired to work alongside like-minded and positive individuals from diverse backgrounds.

What is your capstone project?

O’Herlihy Access Consultancy is a company located in Dublin, Ireland. Their vision is “to Make Everyday Life Fully Accessible & Inclusive." The company's mission is to support organizations to become leaders in accessibility and Universal Design through embedding accessibility and Universal Design in everything they do.

This capstone project will involve researching accessibility practices within the US market to understand how accessibility is delivered and determine whether and where there is scope for improvement. The goal is to establish demand for and then define a toolkit which will enable organizations to assess their own practices and monitor the stages of development towards becoming best in class.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

After ESTEEM, I hope to pursue a career involving mathematics and other technical skills. I enjoy hands-on work as well as connecting directly with other people. I also aim to utilize my entrepreneurial skills that I will be learning during my time in ESTEEM. As well, I desire to be involved in a line of work that helps to improve the lives of other people.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to go to the gym, visit coffee shops, and listen to music. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and visiting new towns.
