Chuck Meakin

Class of 2019-2020

University of Notre Dame, 1981

Why I chose ESTEEM:

Following a 30 year career as an oncologist and studying longevity, I wanted to challenge myself with a rigorous program to improve my entrepreneurial skills and start-up understanding.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:

I am working on a US start-up called which is a telemedicine delivery of adjuvant metabolic anti-neoplastic cancer care using less expensive re-purposed generic drugs. This patented four drug cocktail has a long history of safety and efficacy in a trial in the United Kingdom on adult brain tumors.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

I hope to help grow health and wellness and oncology companies so citizens can better understand the options they have available.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

I enjoy life at Notre Dame as I attended undergrad here finishing in 1981. I do voluntary coaching for health and wellness, rock climb, kayak, and stand-up paddle board with my friends and family in North Carolina.

And, finally:

This ESTEEM is a terrifically challenging and supportive environment to expand one's skills.
