Capstone Project Abstract:
Tastylive is the education and media arm of tastytrade, a leading Chicago-based trading solutions provider. This project involves in-depth research aiming to understand the current generational shift, specifically mapping out the behaviors and mindsets of Generation Z (born between 1997-2012) across finance, brokerage, trading, crypto, in-person and digital experiences. This exploration delves into their digital-first nature, media engagement, risk tolerance versus risk capacity, and evolving relationship with various assets.
The primary research goal is to synthesize and validate insights, turning them into actionable strategies. These strategies will help tastylive and the broader tasty ecosystem build trust, enhance their educational offerings, and ultimately, make their trading tools even more accessible and valuable for the next generation of investors.
Why did you choose ESTEEM?
I chose to join the ESTEEM program for the opportunities it provides for personal growth, community, and culture. I saw ESTEEM as the "best move on the chessboard," a transformative bridge between my undergraduate studies and my long-term ambition to work in a high-impact role within the finance space. My curiosity about trading and my attraction to finance due to its immense power to scale positive change, were key motivators.
The program aligns with my aspiration to make a meaningful impact on a global scale. I resonate deeply with Notre Dame's mission of cultivating leaders who act as a "force for good." I was also aware of the ESTEEM program's strong track record and the quality of education it provides.
Ultimately, I was drawn to the opportunity to explore and develop ventures that merge technological innovation with moral responsibility. My "why not" philosophy, inspired by Charlie Munger's concept of inversion, leads me to seek out the contrarian view and explore less obvious paths. I felt the program would provide an ideal platform to collaborate with like-minded individuals and advance my ability to scale transformative ideas into impactful solutions that serve humanity. My goal is to become a leader who combines technological innovation with empathy and compassion.
What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?
Work in a high-impact role in the finance space and become a leader who combines technological innovation with empathy and compassion.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy staying active with running, basketball, and going to the gym. I also like to read, stay informed on global business trends, and enjoy socializing with friends and traveling.
