Class of 2019-2020
Creighton University, 2018
Why I chose ESTEEM:
ESTEEM allows me to bridge the gap between science and business; an opportunity to understand and explain the technical side of innovation, while bringing products to market and making an impact in doing so.
My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:
I will be working with a professor on campus and the IDEA Center to identify the best market opportunities and create a launch strategy for a new flexible thermoelectric material. I’m super excited to combine my passions of physics, electrical engineering and energy and lead and learn from a team of scientists and entrepreneurial advisors. My goal is to create a commercialization plan for this technology that stays true to the vision of the faculty inventor while also having the biggest impact in the market.
What I hope to do after ESTEEM:
After ESTEEM I hope to work in a position that continues to promote science and scientific inquiry with innovation. Coming from a research background, I want to bring those new technologies to light and help to commercialize those that have the potential to make an impact on the world. I also hope to continue working as a ski instructor.
What I like to do when I'm not working:
When I’m not studying or working, I love to be outside, whether it be skiing, going for a walk, or reading in my hammock. I can be found at any ND sporting event, and when I need to be creative, I can be found playing with legos or singing any song of the country genre.
