Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I chose ESTEEM because I believe this program gives me the perfect opportunity to feed my interest in both innovation and technology, while helping me incorporate a business perspective. In addition, thanks to ESTEEM, I am able to apply these skills directly in the real world through the year-long capstone project.

What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?

Kem Krest is a $500MM supply chain and logistics company mainly focused on the automotive industry. Recently, they have been expanding and introducing eCommerce fulfillment to their portfolio. With that being said, Kem Krest is looking to develop the eCommerce industry by closing the strong resource availability gap that is present in the sector.
For this reason, the goal of this project is to develop a leadership playbook for eCommerce business leaders, especially women and minorities, who face multiple challenges as entrepreneurs related to the availability and abundance of resources. The playbook aims to demystify the process of identifying trusted, knowledgeable resources available to women and minority businesses and provide a bridge to engage with these resources.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

After ESTEEM, whether I end up at a corporate-level job or develop my own start-up, I hope to make a positive impact in the industry I work in. I want to use what I learned at ESTEEM and apply it to any position that I take on in the future in order to innovate and work on cutting-edge projects. In the long term, I hope to use these skills and work towards making an impact in my home country, Senegal.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love traveling, discovering new cultures and trying different foods. I love biking, hiking and going to the beach. I also love learning new languages!
