Why did you choose ESTEEM?
I came to ESTEEM to see how far I could take my ideas and build my skills and relationships within a diversified global community to see what I can create.
What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?
There are a reported 53 million caregivers in the US looking after loved ones. A nationwide survey on the state of America’s caregivers commissioned by Pivotal Ventures found themes that indicated caregivers need more time, more resources, and access to affordable support solutions. Among the key findings, the study found:
40% of unpaid caregivers report feeling isolated and unsupported.
66% of caregivers report sacrificing their own ambitions and well-being to care for a loved one
The responsibility of caregivers on average equates to 45 hours a week on unpaid caregiving duties.
At its core, Stroll is a purpose-driven digital staffing agency focused on childcare based out of South Bend, IN.
Childcare providers often have access to robust networks but are limited in how they can connect and leverage these relationships. Stroll aims to match caregivers with families who not only want childcare but also want to share their lived experiences with caregivers to nurture their long-term goals.
Through Stroll, childcare providers have the chance to optimize their professional search to land their dream careers while building lasting relationships with the families they serve.
Our platform benefits both parties and we in turn create deeper relationships with everyone in our community.
What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?
I hope that my ideas are able to come to fruition and I am able to build deep connections within my community.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I'm not working, I am moving. I love yoga and am a trained ballerina. I love photography, cinemographs, digital art, real art, and music. I love the water, and enjoy being outdoors. I'm also licensed Notary Public in the State of Indiana and I enjoy connecting with my community of REI and Notaries to keep up to date with market trends.
