Why did you choose ESTEEM?
I chose ESTEEM because during my undergraduate career I had the opportunity to take part in an array of amazing research projects; however, I missed the execution of seeing my results put into action and being utilized to impact the lives of others. Because of this, I chose to embark on my journey at ESTEEM where I will be integrating my passions for the sciences and innovation to learn critical business skills. While at ESTEEM, I hope to immerse myself into different learning technicalities to expand my knowledge outside of my biology background and become a more well-rounded student, professional, and leader.
What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?
This capstone project is a collaborative effort with Scientist.com, a leading AI-powered marketplace at the forefront of the pharmaceutical industry, offering scientists convenient access to an array of research services and products. Scientist.com has cultivated a vast network of over 4500 commercial research organizations and has established partnerships with renowned pharmaceutical giants, more than 100 biotechnology enterprises, and the prestigious US National Institutes of Health (NIH). The platform's core mission is to expedite research processes, drive down costs, and foster global collaboration among scientists. Within the scope of this project, Scientist.com seeks to elevate the efficiency and efficacy of outsourced research and development for both suppliers and clients through the further innovation of Scientist's Digital Storefront. This endeavor will be realized through the implementation of Scientist.com's new cutting-edge commercialization strategy, designed to standardize pricing services for suppliers and clients alike. The multifaceted project objectives encompass crafting a strategic market entry plan, facilitating the seamless onboarding of suppliers into this innovative initiative, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of Scientist.com's service offerings.
What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?
After ESTEEM, I aspire to enter the business sector of healthcare. Whether this is in pharmaceutical sales or consulting, there are an array of career options ESTEEM will prepare me for that will allow me to integrate my passion for the sciences and business. While in ESTEEM, I hope to explore these career opportunities and find the best career fit for my skills and interests.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I am not working on classwork, you can find me in the Notre Dame Football Recruiting office, where I have been working with our coaching and recruiting staff as a student recruiting intern for the past five years. Beyond academics and work, I love reading, watching sports, and traveling. One of my favorite destinations to explore is Northern Michigan near Traverse City.
