Why did you choose ESTEEM?
I chose to come to ESTEEM to strengthen my experiences with engineering and entrepreneurship through applied strategy, technical innovation and business development. Ultimately, working and learning within the ESTEEM Program will improve my technical expertise, industry knowledge and interpersonal leadership skills, enabling me to accomplish my goals of impacting people’s lives through a commitment for technical innovation and social entrepreneurship.
What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?
This capstone project will be working with THOR Industries to support the electrification of THOR’s Operating Companies product portfolio, by securing re-charging capabilities in rural and off-grid areas, where their customers go & stay. THOR’s family of companies make up the world’s largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles, spanning over 400 locations in six countries. The project will focus on the development of a lo-fi prototype design following a market research study, technology review and IP analysis where the student will ultimately create a financial assessment and commercialization plan of THOR Industries’ newest product launch.
What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?
After ESTEEM, I hope to use innovation in practical ways to create beneficial societal change. I genuinely think technology and entrepreneurship can act as transformative forces in communities where opportunity inequality persists. I want to use my technical expertise and business experience to better understand the product management process so later on I may have a larger impact within community development and social entrepreneurship as a multi-faceted leader.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I’m not working, I like to train in boxing and wrestling with hopes to further compete. Otherwise, whenever I get the opportunity, I love to travel and hope to visit every continent (4/7)! If I’m not being active, I also really enjoy playing video games with my friends and have a passion for cooking.
