Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I chose the ESTEEM program because it offers a distinct curriculum centered on the practical aspects of entrepreneurship; thus, equipping me with the essential skills required to thrive as a startup founder. I am deeply passionate about leveraging technology to address real-world challenges and create business value. The program's capstone project resonates with this ethos, further solidifying its relevance to my aspirations.

What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?

The Bringing AI to the Organization project at BI Incorporated aims to explore ways in which operational and process efficiencies can be enhanced by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The objective is to achieve reduced costs and unparalleled levels of customer and employee satisfaction. To accomplish this, the student will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of key areas, including call centers, product development, manufacturing, and business services. By delving into AI-driven solutions such as virtual assistants, natural language processing (NLP)/natural language understanding (NLU), and recommendation systems, this project seeks to uncover the most suitable AI technologiesfor our organization. The anticipated outcomes of this project are twofold: firstly, identifying specific AI technologies that align with our needs, and secondly, developing a well-defined roadmap for successful AI integration. This will empower BI Incorporated to remain at the forefront of innovation and attain operational excellence in all aspects of their operations.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

After ESTEEM, my overarching ambition is to establish an EdTech startup focused on delivering affordable, high-quality education to K-12 students in Africa. I aspire to launch a technology venture dedicated to training, equipping, and providing young African software developers with the skills and opportunities they need to compete globally. With Africa housing the world's youngest demographic and poised to possess the largest workforce, it's imperative to prepare them comprehensively, ensuring they're primed to make significant contributions to the global tech landscape.

What do you like to do in your free time?
