Why I chose ESTEEM ?

I always knew that I wanted to continue my education after undergrad, and ideally wanted to do something related to business. However, since I studied computer engineering, I didn't want to fully move away from technology in whatever I ended up doing. When I found ESTEEM, I realized it was the perfect bridge between engineering and business. I knew the program would allow me to continue my technical education while still pushing me to achieve my professional goals.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it ?

For my capstone, I’ll be working with Provecho, an early-stage venture based out of Orange County, CA. I’ll be helping to build and commercialize the Provecho mobile app, a software solution to help record family recipes and traditions. I’ll also help to grow the company itself, investigating incorporation strategies and the various corporate structures that Provecho can take. Having the chance to work with a company from the very beginning is an amazing opportunity, and I’m excited to see where the project goes over the course of the year!

What I hope to do after ESTEEM ?

After ESTEEM, I’m hoping to work with startups and early-stage ventures in some capacity. However, I’m still trying to figure out exactly what that will look like. I could see myself working in a founder’s role, jumping in with a company after they’ve grown a bit, assisting as a consultant, or even getting involved in the world of venture capital or startup investing. Either way, I hope to be doing unique work on projects that I’m excited to be a part of!

What I like to do when I'm not working ?

When I'm not working, I love to cook and bake, especially for other people! Having the chance to cook for family and friends and having large group dinners is one of my favorite hobbies. I also love to play music and golf when I have the time
