Class of 2023-2024
Saint Anselm College
Why did you choose ESTEEM?
I chose ESTEEM to completely immerse myself in a brand new, incredibly opportunity, yet challenging environment. I have always been interested in the science and business fields. In selecting my undergraduate university, I could not decide between the two disciplines. So, after hearing about the ESTEEM program at Notre Dame, I became fascinated with the prospect of integrating the technical aspects of STEM with entrepreneurial and business techniques. It was a perfect fit!
What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?
Electric Outdoors aims to provide people with electrified, sustainable outdoor experiences. They are currently developing a purpose-built, sustainable destination platform called the EO-Canopy. This device serves as an off-grid, solar-powered and portable enabler that allows customers to travel to the remote outdoors electrically. The EO-Canopy platform will charge your electric vehicle, eRV, or legacy RV, and will provide freshwater, wastewater management, and amenities allowing for a sustainable experience. It helps landowners unlock their lands sustainably and affordably, serving the heavy influx of electric vehicles going to the outdoors. The goal of this capstone project is to help provide Electric Outdoors with a business plan, financial model, and a strong go-to-market strategy for deployment of this product and scale of the business.
What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?
After ESTEEM, I hope to work in an industry that is rapidly iterating and creating change. I have always been interested in the aerospace/defense industry and would love to pursue a career in that sector. I am also an avid sports fan and would be highly interested in sports-technology. Through ESTEEM however, my entrepreneurial hunger has undoubtedly grown and I could absolutely see myself in the startup world as well.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I am not working I love to watch, play, and do everything sports! After playing lacrosse both in college and growing up, I am always looking to get on the field and throw the ball around. I’d love to continue to grow the game for younger generations. You’ll always catch me on the beach in the summer, playing golf, or spending time with family and friends.
