Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I chose the ESTEEM program to support my life-long dream of being a tech entrepreneur. As an undergraduate, I studied electrical and computer engineering with a particular interest in machine learning and robotics. While I gained a lot of technical skills and knowledge, I never had the opportunity to learn about what it takes to start and grow a business. When I came across the ESTEEM program, it seemed like the perfect complement to my technical background and the logical next step toward my goal of becoming a successful tech entrepreneur.

What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?

This capstone project will work with Intuit to guarantee the performance of their recently announced generative AI operating system, GenOS. Intuit is one of the largest fin-tech companies in the world–behind TurboTax, QuickBooks, Mint, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp–and intends on using the GenOS platform to build tools that specialize in solving tax, accounting, personal finance, and marketing challenges with speed and accuracy. This project focuses on: (1) researching prompt optimization tools and solutions that exist in the market, (2) determining if Intuit should develop an in-house solution, partner with a vendor, or acquire a company, (3) providing a final recommendation on the best path forward given the market landscape.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

After ESTEEM, I aspire to use artificial intelligence and automation technology to solve problems and improve lives. AI is the next great frontier and I want to be a part of it!

What do you like to do in your free time?

When I am not working I enjoy rowing (both on the water and on an erg), listening to and creating DJ mixes (90’s house music is my favorite), and learning about math and computer science (primarily artificial intelligence).
