Why I chose ESTEEM:

ESTEEM was the perfect fit for me in terms of how I wanted to approach complex and multifaceted healthcare problems, a combination of Science, Engineering and Business, not to mention their proven track record of success and the IMPACT their students and Alumni are making in the Healthcare Industry.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:

My Capstone this year is on Project ECHO, which is a movement to demonopolize knowledge and amplify the capacity to provide best practice care for underserved people all over the world. As a physician who was born, raised and trained in a developing country myself, my passion to approach complex healthcare problems through technology and innovation started early on in medical school. Hence, why invested in a gap year to work with the highly experienced professors here at the University of Notre Dame and ESTEEM program and an opportunity get my hands dirty working hands-on with real-life large organizations.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

I hope to bring the skillset I acquire from ESTEEM to organizations who not only posses similar values of promoting health as a fundamental human right, but also have years of relevant experience and track record in serving exclusively underserved populations.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

I love to do Yoga and/or Zumba, and I love to explore good food in South Bend.
