Why I chose ESTEEM ?

After pursuing a pre-med path through undergrad, I decided that I wanted to learn how to combine my science background with innovation and entrepreneurship, in order to understand how to build products and companies that can benefit human health. Plus, coming from a small, liberal arts college without a football team, I was excited to have a team to root for... Go Irish!

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it ?

My capstone sponsor, Sense Biodetection Ltd., is a VC-backed biotechnology startup that has developed an innovative molecular diagnostic product. For this project, I will analyze and validate a new market segment in order to help inform the commercial launch strategy for the product. I am excited to be working with Sense on this project as I believe that both the company and their product stand to markedly improve personal and public health while also strongly support organizations in the ever evolving post-pandemic environment.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM ?

After ESTEEM, I am looking to find a role that allows me to work at the intersection of medical science and innovation. I am passionate about improving lives through innovation in health-related technologies and would like to work in the biotech, medtech, pharma industries.

What I like to do when I'm not working ?

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I developed a deep love for the outdoors. In my free time, I enjoy all kinds of outdoor recreational activities including backpacking, backcountry skiing, kayaking, fly fishing, etc.
