Why I chose ESTEEM ?

I chose ESTEEM at the University Notre Dame because I wanted the assurance of a great community with similar ambitions. This program couples students with great faculty and alumni, providing the best opportunities for future aspirations.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it ?

An incredible opportunity, I have the privilege of working alongside a technology startup born from a research project within the University. OfService LLC has explored new ways to make infrared sensors more efficient, accurate, and more compatible across countless applications. I have the responsibility of working with the research team to finalize the technology, structure a commercialization plan, and discuss ways to implement these new sensors into the needs of civilian and military clientele. I am beyond excited to partner with both the University and this startup to propose new ideas on how these sensors can change the way we live. From defense systems against powerful satellite lasers to personal thermometers installed in smartphones, this technology can truly alter daily activities and how we access or create information. Throughout my capstone, I hope to positively impact the success of this company and gain valuable insight into both business processes and product design.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM ?

Prior to coming to ESTEEM, I had goals to create companies both within sustainable technology and social issues. Having gained experiences both in the classroom and within my capstone, I think those goals still hold true, but my timeline continues to change. The more insight I gain, the more I'm able to focus, refine, and evolve my goals both as a student and professional. I want to create impactful companies, but I would love to also continue my athletic career, become an author, travel, and maybe work within a large technology firm. There's so much that I hope to accomplish, and whatever, that may be, I know that ESTEEM will be an accelerator in my success.

What I like to do when I'm not working ?

I was an athlete in my undergraduate career, and lifting has always been a passion of mine. I love reliving sports and playing with old teammates. Extending exercise, I love skiing, hiking, and going to the beach when I can get away. Exploring side hustles have become a new hobby of mine and I love working on cars as well. Socially, I love to go out with friends and travel with them.

Fun Fact: I used to be deaf when I was really young, but thanks to many doctors, I had an incredible team that gave me back my hearing!
