Class of 2018-2019
Loyola Marymount University, 2018
Why I chose ESTEEM:
Deciding to come to ESTEEM, for me, was a decision I made to take my civil engineering degree to the next level. I had already tried internships and research in my field and knew I needed to augment my technical skills with the practical business knowledge gained by the hands-on learning offered in ESTEEM.
My capstone thesis project and why I'm excited about it:
I’m working with the City of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to create an educational program that maximizes the use of innovative technologies to address illiteracy problems in the community. By improving literacy in the youth of Harrisburg, the community will hopefully be rejuvenated and prosperity uplifted. I will have the opportunity to develop a technology that will hopefully be scaled to be adaptable to struggling public schools throughout the US.
What I hope to do after ESTEEM:
Taking everything I have gained from my ESTEEM experience, I hope to move back to the Southwestern United States to work with innovative technologies for managing water resources.
What I like to do when I'm not working:
Besides working and school I like to be outdoors (preferably at the lake), going to the Grotto or lakes on campus, and watching football!
