Why I chose ESTEEM:

Beyond wanting to build and develop new skills outside of my STEM-based knowledge, I chose ESTEEM because of its emphasis on taking action and driving impact through constant hands-learning and experimentation. At the intersection of science and business, the entrepreneurial spirit of ESTEEM precisely captures the interdisciplinary approach I wanted, and I have been challenged to grow in my critical, analytical, and creative thinking on a daily basis. At ESTEEM, striving to make a difference is something that happens every day which means changing the world is always a possibility.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:

For my capstone project I will be working with Shields Health Solutions which partners with hospitals and other healthcare organizations to help them build and grow specialty pharmacy programs. As someone who is interested in healthcare and hospital administration, I am thrilled to be working with a company which seeks to develop strong networks between patients and providers alike through its emphasis on ensuring accessibility and quality of medical care for those with chronic illnesses.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

I would like to pursue a career in healthcare consulting or healthcare administration. I would ultimately like to become a hospital director and be in a position where, on the business side, I can innovate healthcare services in order to best address the needs of those currently negatively impacted by healthcare inequities.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

I enjoy singing in Notre Dame’s community choir, going for runs along the East Bank River, and finding new restaurants to eat at in South Bend!
