Why I chose ESTEEM:
ESTEEM is a premier program that equips students with the ability to define, discover, and develop their personal mission into a tangible force of good. As an aspiring social entrepreneur, I see ESTEEM as the perfect catalyst to leverage my healthcare experience for disruptive and transformational change among those that need it most.
My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:
I am working with Medtronic to expand the scope of Reveal LINQ—a small insertable heart monitor. Reveal LINQ tracks and evaluates heart data using algorithms to determine if a person is at risk for a negative health event. My objective is to research health indicators, prioritize each according to market feasibility, partner with providers to prove efficacy, and define a regulatory strategy for approval and acceptance. I am excited about this project because we are saving lives. It directly supports Medtronic’s mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life to more than 75 million people each year.
What I hope to do after ESTEEM:
Create transformational impact! I look forward to using my energy and expertise in health management and policy to facilitate disruptive change and health equity among under-resourced populations across America.
What I like to do when I'm not working:
Enjoy long walks outside, homemade smoothies, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Go Irish and Go Blue!
