Why I chose ESTEEM:

In my journey, I have had the opportunity to explore different fields, gain a plethora of skills, but I’ve also learned a lot about my interests. It is not just science for its own sake that keeps drawing me in. In fact, the need to learn as much as I can is a secondary reason when I think of my love for science. At the core of my scientific quest, is the unwavering zeal that arises in the face of complex questions. The zeal to find and create answers to address a challenging situation/problem. It is why I chose ESTEEM.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:

I chose to work with CompuCom to ‘re-imagine end-user support services’ for my capstone project. Over thirty (30) years now, CompuCom delivers industry leading end-to-end managed service, technology, and creating a digital work environment for many organizations including but not limited to Microsoft, Samsung, Apple and Cisco. This is achieved by providing organization/employees a robust support experience guaranteeing that enterprises have secure, uninterrupted and seamless access to the technology they need. I am excited because, given the current COVID-19 pandemic, it is crucial that employees have access to first-class technical support they need to remain productive. This is why my project focuses on re-imagining the end-user support service models and tools to catchup with the increasingly technology-dependent world.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

I believe ESTEEM is the key that unlocks the potential that I have known myself to have. I have constantly pushed myself to learn as much as I can about entrepreneurship, about the art of taking an idea and creating a business out of it. With students who share my passion for technology, interest in entrepreneurship and thoughtful discussions with some of the best professors, I look forward to improving my critical thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills. These skills, in addition to the technical experience I will gain from working on various projects, will pave my path as I move on to work on my own venture or with other professionals in various industries including consulting firms, VC’s, Startups among others. More than unlocking my potential as an entrepreneur, this is an opportunity to become a leader in my field.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

I love listening to Startups and Data science podcasts including books at with topics majorly about negotiation and business. Beside that, I am a big fan of playing video games, especially FIFA, and hanging out with friends.

And, finally:

MAMA, I made it! Go Irish!
