Why I chose ESTEEM:

When I first heard about ESTEEM, I started looking into the program and the more I read about it, the more I realized that the program was perfect for me. I have always been interested in mathematics but am fascinated by entrepreneurship and I love that in this program I get to learn about entrepreneurship without abandoning my STEM background.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it:

My capstone project is with Shields Health Solutions, a company that helps hospitals across the country create and manage their own specialty pharmacies. For this project, I will be helping Shields create a data warehouse from their existing sources to better organize and store their data for analysis. As a math major, having a project involving this much data is hard not to get excited about! I am happy to be a part of a project that will certainly advance this industry and hopefully will offer insights to improve the lives of the many patients who use specialty pharmacies.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

I'm not very sure! I hope this year to learn more about where data science and entrepreneurship meet and explore the jobs that are in that intersection. ESTEEM has already exposed me to so many more opportunities than I even knew existed, so I am sure that in this coming year I will find the job that best fits me.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

Go for a run around the lakes on campus!

And, finally:

Go Irish and Go Cats! \\V//
