Why I chose ESTEEM:

I chose ESTEEM because as I mature, have more focused goals, and learn the realities of the world, I see that my technical background is simply not enough. Through this program, I hope to step out of my comfort zone and learn how to challenge the status quo.

My capstone thesis project and why I'm excited about it:

Every year, drug shortages create a big gap in the healthcare system. At any single time, the FDA identifies hundreds of drugs as being in shortage. Most of these shortages involve injectable products which are widely used throughout hospitals. Consequently, patients do not have access to appropriate, or any, treatment options. Additionally, drug prices escalate during a shortage, increasing cost for both patients and hospitals. My thesis will involve creating an algorithm which predicts drug shortages and lessens that gap in the healthcare system.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM:

After ESTEEM, I hope to discover green, sustainable, scalable, and culturally relevant solutions for underserved communities that require innovative thinking and the ability to see beyond the obvious.

What I like to do when I'm not working:

Watching various types of vlogs to gain insights into others' lives.
