Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I chose ESTEEM because having been fully committed to becoming a physician for most of my life, I felt having an understanding for entrepreneurism and business would enable me to be more open to opportunities that I was not aware of before. Furthermore, if I were to end up still becoming a physician, through ESTEEM I will have gained significant business and entrepreneurial knowledge that could enable me to set up my own practice. Also, having been a fan of Rudy since I was a kid, I had to live out my dream of being able to attend the University of Notre Dame just like Rudy.

What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?

My project will examine the manufacturing process of cocamidopropyl betaine (COAB).There will be examination of scale-up, from lab batches, to pilot and full production, along with cost analysis and detailed manufacturing plans. The student will have the unique opportunity to work with highly knowledgeable veterans and learn ins and outs of the chemical industry, including relevant scientific concepts, common practices/processes, and the nature of the market.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

After ESTEEM, I want to be putting forth work where I will be able to help improve the lives of many who struggle from poor health conditions. Whether that is in a biotech, medtech, or becoming a physician, that is my ultimate goal. By helping people through their pain, I am able to help myself through my own.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I grew up in Michigan surrounded by nature parks and trails. So, I have a knack for hiking, bike riding, camping, and so on. As well, I do enjoy playing golf, working out, cooking, and many more active hobbies. Just your average jack of all trades
