Why did you choose ESTEEM?

I chose ESTEEM because the curriculum's focus on hands-on, project-based learning encourages an appreciation of complex business challenges in the present business environment and for the process of commercializing new products or services in the tech industry. Moreover, the combination of leadership and technology with entrepreneurship demonstrates that as a graduate program, ESTEEM provides an excellent ecosystem to explore interdisciplinary entrepreneurial interests.

What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?

For decades, Marmon Foodservice Technologies has designed and manufactured foodservice equipment for some of the world’s biggest, and most recognized consumer brands. With the evolving marketplace in mind, Marmon is continuously discovering innovative solutions that solve critical market needs, fueling sustainable growth. For this capstone project, the student is charged with evaluating the expansion into a new market, determining product marketability and go-to-market strategy. With the support of the Marmon team, the student will be investigating, identifying, and building out an evidenced-based business case to justify launching a new category, through new channels, and customers.

What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?

After ESTEEM, I hope to secure a job with my current project as a business consultant or for any other startup company. In the long term, I am particularly interested in exploring business opportunities around Fintech for SMEs in my home country, Kenya.

What do you like to do in your free time?

When I am not thinking about work or school, I am either listening to podcasts on different topics or watching a documentary on anything history or business related. I also love cooking and the Super Bowl, which is like Christmas day to me.
