Why did you choose ESTEEM?
I chose ESTEEM to strengthen my leadership and collaborative skills, while learning how to merge my technical background in physics with that of business and innovation. I have always been passionate about cosmetic science and creating sustainable products, with the aim of launching my own company in the future. The powerful combination in engineering and entrepreneurship this degree offers will enable me to make a greater impact in leading a company. This will allow me to be able to understand both the business and leadership aspects of bringing a product to market in a profitable and socially responsible way, as well as understand the technical aspects of creating the product itself.
What is your Capstone Project and why are you excited about it?
This capstone project is working with Privé International, a private label perfume and cosmetics manufacturer, to launch the company’s first line of products under its own brand, MYNT. MYNT is a next-generation bath and body care line focused on skin health and sustainability. This line was created to fill the gap between effective, high-performance skincare and basic bath and body care products. A successful launch plan for MYNT will be created through thorough market research and analysis to advance skincare, not just for the face, but the body, with products derived from clean ingredients at an affordable price.
What do you hope to do after ESTEEM?
After ESTEEM, I hope to immerse myself further within the cosmetic industry. I hope to work hands-on with a variety of products, as well as pursue a role that entails innovative problem-solving and interacting directly with consumers to create meaningful change.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I’m not working, I love to travel and embrace new activities, whether it is skiing in the Vermont Mountains, climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge in Australia, or braving the 60-foot Leap of Faith water slide in the Bahamas.
