Why I chose ESTEEM ?

After two years working as a software engineer, I wanted to broaden my skillset by combining my tech skills with business acumen. The ESTEEM curriculum offers the perfect blend of these two topics with immense exposure to various technological and business endeavors.

My capstone project and why I'm excited about it ?

For my capstone project, I am working with Avanade to identify a next generation offering for their clients in cybersecurity. With the recent influx in cyber attacks exacerbated by the global pandemic, cybersecurity is now widely viewed as a top-priority for businesses and governments around the globe making this project extremely exciting to work on. During the course of the project, I will be working with Avanade and Microsoft cybersecurity experts to understand the trajectory of the ever-evolving technology landscape and how to best prepare cyber defenses. By doing this, I hope to benefit Avanade and their clients with a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the next suite of cyber defense technology.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM ?

Immediately after ESTEEM, I want to keep all my doors open. In one sense, I hope to have the option to join Avanade to further develop IT solutions for their high-valued clientele. On the other hand, I also want to join the startup world. Looking ahead long-term, I hope to use the skills and experiences from ESTEEM and beyond to build my own startup.

What I like to do when I'm not working ?

Outside of class and my capstone work, I really enjoy being outside on my bike, making music with my guitar and my voice, and enjoying time with friends.
