Extracorporeal Lung Support (ECLS) technologies are a new and emerging form of life support that seek to address many of the problems with Invasive Mechanical Ventilation. ECLS can perform exceptional life support function, decrease mortality rates, costs, and health complications. This thesis seeks to provide a comprehensive review of the technology and the ECLS market in order to understand the viability of ECLS and, if attractive, create a launch strategy into the market.
