Major: Biomedical Engineering
Paul was born and raised in Long Island, NY. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering (BME) at The Catholic University of America in Washington DC in 2016. During his time there, he completed various undergraduate projects related to sports medicine and BME.
Paul enrolled in the ESTEEM program in order to merge his passion for biomedical engineering with entrepreneurship. His capstone thesis project involves the practical design (in CAD software), production (3D Printing), and commercialization of devices that will help guide and assist veterinary surgeons in conducting endoscopic surgery.
In addition to his studies, Paul enjoys public speaking and volunteer work. He recently helped start a not-for-profit organization called Voices for Veterans, Long Island, which sponsors musical performances nationwide to raise money for those struggling with the long term effects of returning home from military active duty. Paul hopes to leverage his skills developed from achieving a biomedical engineering degree and attending the ESTEEM program through pursuing a career in management consulting, sales, or entrepreneurship dedicated to his interests in medical technology. Paul’s ultimate goal is to design his own medical products and eventually bring his ideas to market in the form of his own medical device company.
