Major: Biophysics (minor in Mathematics)
Benjamin was born and raised in Louisville, KY.
It was in high school where he gained his interest in the sciences and this interest caused him to search for a degree that would give him an understanding of multiple departments of science. This pursuit led Benjamin to Xavier University where he majored in biophysics with a minor in mathematics. At Xavier, Benjamin found an interest in biophysics research and spent two summers studying the unfolding properties of proteins.
Now a part of the ESTEEM program, Benjamin is excited about gaining the business and entrepreneurial skills to balance his science-heavy background and prepare him for life after graduation. As part of his capstone thesis, he is working with the company Gleaux Inc. to investigate the marketability of bioluminescent plants.
Outside of the classroom, Benjamin enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee as well as going to the movies, hanging out with friends, and playing trivia.
