Class of 2017-2018

University of Dublin Trinity College, 2017

Why I chose ESTEEM: Having studied Nanoscience at Trinity College Dublin, I really wanted to find a way to bring my scientific knowledge and professional experiences to the forefront of the business world. ESTEEM is the perfect combination of both science and business that would equip me with the skills to affect positive social change through technology. I believe ESTEEM is the perfect launching pad for me to achieve my ambition and realise my potential.

My capstone thesis project and why I’m excited about it: I will be working with Ratio Innovation Management setting up an EnergyTech Fusion Center here in South Bend. This center will bring together a diverse group of people and help solve the challenges, both present and future, facing the energy Industry. The energy sector is an area I am really passionate about and I’m very excited to be working on this project.

What I hope to do after ESTEEM: I am eager to make an impact with my career post-ESTEEM. In the long term I hope to return home to Ireland and start my own business. But before I do that I’d like to get some experience in management consulting or with some exciting startups here in the U.S.

What I like to do when I’m not working in Innovation Park: When I’m not working hard at ESTEEM, I love the theatre and costume design, as well as exploring new places. I hope to travel as much as I can in my spare time this year, and really get to know this new country.
