American Universities (The University of Notre Dame included) are becoming an integral part of a reviving economic engine fueled by innovation and entrepreneurship and fed by both private public funds. With $90 billion of the federal R&D budget alone being funneled directly into university labs, it is more important than ever that this investment in future technologies be managed properly both now and as these potential start-ups bring to market new ideas and products.
This approach is consistent with the underlying principles found in President Obama’s “Strategy for American Innovation” which envisions continued investment in the R&D and education partnership. The University of Notre Dame is preparing for the future. Are you?
