CareerEco will host a virtual fair to introduce veterans to the graduate school opportunities provided by the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. This bill, offering full or partial tuition funding for Veterans, is supported by Yellow Ribbon schools taking part in the online fair. CareerEco, a virtual event company, has teamed up with more than 65+ Grad Schools to host a Veterans Graduate School Fair on February 11, 2016. It will provide active duty military, transitioning service members, and veterans free access to admissions teams and faculty to help them research the schools’ graduate programs, admissions criteria, and yellow ribbon benefit options.
“It is a privilege to be hosting an event that helps mobilize the academic pursuits of Veterans and Military personnel, who tirelessly serve our country,” said Gayle Oliver-Plath, CEO of CareerEco. "With technology enabled events, virtually, everybody wins by connecting online. We are proud to help Vets pursue a new degree that helps them get to where they want to be."
The event offers a convenient and efficient way to investigate graduate programs in a real-time setting that provides Vets with instant feedback to their most pressing questions. Attendees will no longer need to spend countless hours searching for programs that offer educational benefits to the Military community.
Brent Phillips, a Navy Veteran who recently transitioned to civilian life, explains why he participated in a prior Veterans Grad School Virtual Fair. “I signed up to participate in the virtual fair to find the right graduate school for me. Every school that I spoke with was full of knowledge and candor. My questions were answered by admissions representatives and deans. It helped me a lot in my pursuit of a graduate education. The best part was being able to participate virtually from anywhere.”
There is no cost or travel required to participate in the virtual fair. A computer and internet connection are the only tools required to attend. Once registered, Vets and Active Military personnel will interact live with a growing list of 65+ featured graduate programs offering degrees in multiple disciplines.
